Have you seen my head?
I’ve looked everywhere
My how these things happen
I’m afraid this has all gone wrong
’Twas nothing personal
Least not before
See I came here out of need
Came ashore an honest man
Women and children first
One day you’ll see
Yourself as I do
’Tis not reason that guides you
O Tarry Town
May your original sins
One day tear you apart
O Tarry Town
One day you’ll see
Yourself as I do
O Tarry Town
about
Based on Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", "The Curse of Tarry Town, or The Hessian’s Diary" builds on the sound established earlier on The Holy Water EP: more atmosphere, slower pace, and moodier vocals. The lyrics situate the horseman in America from his perspective.
